Cardinal Health Mask Flat-Fold N95 Respirator Regular Fit
A NIOSH approved N95 respirator surpasses the fit and filtration capabilities of a high-filtration surgical mask. These respirators remove at least 95 percent of airborne particles during worst-case testing using a most penetrating sized particle.
Specific to the operating room, N95 respirators that are cleared by the FDA for use in surgical settings are referred to as Surgical N95 Respirators.
The CDC currently recommends a N95 or higher level respirator for personnel exposed to patients with
suspected or confirmed tuberculosis, as well as other diseases that could be transmitted through the airborne
route. Respirators are also currently recommended to be worn during the performance of aerosol-generating
procedures (e.g., intubation, bronchoscopy, suctioning) on patients with certain infections.
