Meet Lisa Maddock

We’re extremely lucky at Capes Medical Supplies to have some truly experienced and passionate people on our team.

One of them is the highly knowledgeable Lisa Maddock, our Territory Manager for Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.

If you’ve ever worked with Lisa, you’ll know her approach straight away. Calm, considered and curious, Lisa brings a wealth of experience across surgical instruments, wound care and infection prevention. She has a rare ability to take complex conversations and turn them into practical, workable solutions that genuinely support healthcare teams.

Developing a passion for healthcare

Born and raised in Auckland, Lisa took a refreshingly non-traditional path into healthcare. After leaving school at 16 and spending around a decade working as a florist, she made the move into medical supplies, beginning her healthcare career at Med-Chem Surgical Ltd. Starting in reception and customer services, Lisa quickly developed a strong interest in surgery and instrumentation, building hands-on experience across instruments and logistics before moving into sales.

As her career progressed, Lisa joined Obex Medical, where she focused on infection prevention and supported the introduction of specialist portfolios into the New Zealand market. These roles strengthened her technical expertise and, just as importantly, her understanding of the pressures clinicians face every day.

Joining forces with Capes Medical Supplies

After spending some time working outside the sector, Lisa felt drawn back to healthcare. She missed the people, the purpose, and the ability to contribute to better patient outcomes. Joining Capes Medical allowed her to bring all that experience into a role driven by relationships and real-world impact.

Today, Lisa is still passionate about helping healthcare professionals feel supported, informed and confident in the products they use. She enjoys understanding how clinics, theatres and hospitals operate and evolve. Above all, Lisa loves working closely with customers to find solutions that truly fit. Her approach is thoughtful, honest and always centered on patient care.

Beyond the role

Outside of work, Lisa is wonderful and fun Mum, who loves spending time with her daughter. She also enjoys cooking and baking, getting into the garden, and heading along to live music, especially country concerts when artists visit Aotearoa.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Lisa supporting our customers across Auckland. Her experience, integrity and genuine care make her a trusted partner and a valued part of our whānau.
