Meet Michelle Jennings

At Capes Medical Supplies, our people are at the heart of everything we do. They are the relationships, the expertise and the care behind the service our customers experience every day. One of those people is Michelle Jennings, a Territory Manager who brings warmth, experience and genuine connection to every interaction.

If you have ever worked with Michelle, you'll know she is someone who makes things feel easy. Bright, approachable and refreshingly down to earth, she is passionate about building real relationships and helping healthcare and veterinary teams do their jobs better.

Supporting teams across the motu

While Michelle has managed several territories over the years, she is now the go-to contact for customers across the Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti, Waikato, Taranaki, Manawatū Whanganui and everywhere in between. From busy clinics to regional practices, she understands the pressures teams face and takes pride in being a trusted partner they can rely on.

Originally from South Africa, Michelle has called Aotearoa home since 1991. Her career began in sales, representing office products, before she followed her passion into healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Along the way, she worked with respected organisations including Healtheries, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Viatris, gaining deep insight into how clinics, hospitals and practices operate from the inside out.

Nearly a decade with Capes

Around nine years ago, Michelle joined Capes Medical Supplies and, thankfully, she has been part of our whānau ever since. What she enjoys most is working with people. She takes the time to understand what matters to her customers and focuses on finding practical solutions that support patient and animal care.

Whether she is helping a practice get better value from their consumables or sourcing the right products to meet specific clinical needs, Michelle is always outcome focused. She is also endlessly curious about the healthcare and animal health sectors, with a genuine interest in everything from the vital work of CSSD departments to the day-to-day operations of local veterinary clinics.

Beyond the role

Outside of work, Michelle can usually be found farming, fishing, reading, or cheering on a sports team, although she might stay quiet about which one! She loves spending time with her whānau and is a proud mum and grandma, bringing that same sense of care, humour and generosity into her work at Capes.

Michelle is a valued part of our team and a trusted partner to the customers she supports. We are incredibly lucky to have her as part of the Capes whānau and grateful for the energy, experience and heart she brings every day.
