Antimicrobial absorbent foam dressing for the heel
Mepilex Ag is a antimicrobial dressing, which combines Safetac technology with silver. The Safetac technology allows the dressing to be changed without causing additional Pain to the patient or Trauma to the wound and surrounding skin. Mepilex Ag's rapid and sustained activity begins to inactivate wound related pathogens (Including MRSA) within 30 minutes and for up to seven days.
'Precautions
Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to silver
Do not use Mepilex Ag during radiation treatment or examinations e.g. X-ray, ultrasound, diathermy or Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Do not use Mepilex Ag together with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide.
